Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using proper aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity.
- Collect specimens from patients in various locations, including homes, clinics, and hospitals, maintaining a focus on patient comfort and safety.
- Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support accurate laboratory testing.
- Follow laboratory procedures and techniques precisely for specimen collection, labeling, and processing.
- Maintain clear communication with patients, explaining procedures and providing compassionate care throughout the process.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to infection control, specimen handling, and confidentiality standards.
- Document all procedures accurately in accordance with clinical laboratory requirements and medical terminology standards.
Experience
- Prior laboratory experience or clinical laboratory experience is highly preferred, especially in phlebotomy or blood sampling roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to specimen collection.
- Experience working in hospital or healthcare environments is advantageous.
- Proven ability to perform venipuncture, blood draws, and specimen processing efficiently and safely.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care and professionalism.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques, aseptic methods, and proper handling of specimens is essential.

This is a mobile and PRN position. Must be willing to travel in San Francisco and surrounding areas. Must be able to do pediatric blood draws
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
