Reports to: Wholesale Operations Manager
Work Location: Remote
Summary:
The Closing Coordinator prepares and reviews loan and legal documents for accuracy and consistency, schedules appointments to conduct closings and resolves problems that arise during closings using computer/phone.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage information for multiple deals in a database
- Review evidence of the completion of required repairs prior to closing
- Coordinate communication by phone and email between client, broker, lender, and attorneys to make sure all parties are included throughout the process and ensure timely movement of loans through the closing process
- Maintaining accurate closing schedules
- Monitor cut off times for closing documents
- Address problems that arise during the closing
- Resolve or escalate client, attorney, or borrower concerns
- Document and note all files with detailed and accurate information
- Other assigned duties as requested
- and review of the closing package and ensuring all documents are complete and accurate and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate Preparation loan closing proceeds and ensure disbursed as required and review of funding documents.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Must be comfortable interacting with clients tactfully
- Ability to work productively from home, in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
- Strong attention to detail is required
- Knowledge of different mortgage loan types and experience with FHA, VA
- 2 years of mortgage loan closing experience
