Description
The Membership Manager manages strategy and implementation of the Film at Lincoln Center Membership program and FLC’s Under 25 program. The Manager will lead all of the FLC Membership efforts including stewardship, solicitation, direct mail, fulfillment, event planning and coordination, and donor recognition. They also coordinate and collaborate with fellow teammates across the Philanthropy department to establish and plan upgrading members’ support.
Requirements
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 5,000 Members, including developing and implementing strategies for renewals and upgrades.
- Collaborate with the team to create ways to upgrade Members and to grow membership, in line with institutional goals.
- Manage daily communication and correspondence with Members including but not limited to: Member phone line, email account, newsletter blasts, blog updates, etc.
- Co-Develop annual goals, and implement strategy, to grow the Membership programs with special consideration towards updating benefit deals and acquisition structure.
- Research external contacts to develop opportunities and events to increase organizational fundraising revenue and expand Membership programs.
- Track statistics, revenue, and acquisition data for all levels of Membership.
- Assist with assembling and mailing/emailing acknowledgment and renewal letters for Members as needed.
- Conduct prospect research for acquisition, focusing on giving level and capacity incongruence.
- Respond to Member inquiries regarding benefits, programming, ticketing.
- Maintain member records in the donor database.
- Provide general administrative support, and perform other duties as assigned.
Festival, Galas, and other Special Events:
- Plan for membership benefits communication and fulfillment, including pre-sale periods and special event invitations.
- Provide on-site support for Philanthropy Department special events including check-in and seating processes.
- Collaborate with Special Events to oversee Member events.
- Assist in managing Board & Patron event and festival experience through on-site hospitality.
- Assist with NYFF Call Center during Membership Pre-Sale period.
- Assist with daily correspondence via Gala and NYFF ticketing email account and phone line throughout pre-sales and sales period.
- Train and supervise volunteers for mailings and special events.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant work experience in membership and/or individual giving programs.
- Experience with giving programs & membership programs a plus.
- Proven ability to work with donors and patrons, handle confidential information, and exercise discretion.
- Phone solicitation experience is preferred, along with comfort soliciting donations by phone and in person and fostering relationships.
- Passion for the mission of the Film at Lincoln Center.
- Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
- Available for night and weekend events.
- Familiarity with development database, preferably Tessitura, and email software systems, preferably Wordfly.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, anticipate challenges, solve problems, and work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work based on goals.
Salary Description
This position has a salary range of $70,000-$75,000/year and is represented by the union UAW 2110.
