Overview
FillTech USA is a contract manufacturer delivering exceptional formulation and manufacturing services to emerging and established personal care brands. The company has a 20-year history of converting the innovations of its customers into finished products that are ready to be offered to consumers. FillTech has an industry-wide reputation for creating high quality solutions for lip care, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, topical ointments, hair care, pet care as well as lotions, gels and cremes for many uses. Due to its consistent ability to exceed customer expectations, FillTech has grown primarily through referrals from existing customers. FillTech operates 10 manufacturing lines allowing product formulations to be hot- or cold-filled and labeled into all major packaging categories including bottles, sticks, tubes, tins, jars, packets and Bag-on-Valve aerosols. FillTech customers work closely with an in-house Research and Development laboratory and an amazing team of chemists to develop pioneering solutions to consumer needs.
FTUSA has grown over the years and moved into its current 24,000 square foot facility in 2017. The plant and headquarters location is in Rockwell, NC, which is located 15 minutes east of Salisbury, NC. Many of its team members commute from the Northern suburbs of Charlotte including Huntersville, Concord, Kannapolis or Salisbury.
The products of FillTech are created in a FDA registered facility and monitored by a deep bench of Quality professionals to ensure compliance with mandated cGMP. In addition, FillTech successfully completes regular quality and safety audits by its customers. The vast majority of customers, and all of the largest ones, have worked with FillTech for nearly a decade.
***4-10-hour shifts Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30 pm. Occasional OT on Fridays.

The Batcher’s Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to the following:
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintain schedule efficiency to meet production goals.
- Batching/Weighing/Sampling materials using the metric and US systems
- Read and follow very specific batch records to mix and dispense all types of ingredients into various containers.
- Maintain lot number integrity for all ingredients.
- Accurately and completely record all required information on the batch records.
- Calculate raw materials needed for ingredients. Handling raw materials and understanding safety procedures associated with handing raw materials.
- Operating large scales, small balances, pallet jack, blenders, and processing tanks
- Complies with all regulatory/in-house requirements which may include but not limited to safety, housekeeping, laboratory chemical waste, cGMP, cGLP documentation
- Understand and follow SOPs and cGMP guidelines.
- Work closely with the Quality Department to ensure proper batch records are issued according to production needs.
- Responsible for proper inventory control (requisitioning and usage inputs).
- Responsible for constant communication with the department Management to determine needs.
- Perform additional job-related duties, as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to frequently lift 50-60 pounds
- 1 year(s) experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience completing documentation in a manufacturing environment
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of working in an FDA or GMP manufacturing environment is preferred
- Proven ability to meet production needs for successful results.
- Experience completing documentation in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to comprehend and abide by relevant policies/procedures pertinent to safety, quality, security, and operations.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment and maintain efficiency, quality and safety.
- Basic computer knowledge—Word, Excel, Access
- Read, write, and speak the English language fluently
- Work closely with and in-cooperation with team leads and peers
- Must be able to complete all required documentation (includes, but is not limited to, batch records, log books, notebooks, raw data (charts, graphs, scans, etc.), validation protocols, labels and cGMP-related forms).
- Organization and Strong Time Management Skills
- Hygiene oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to summarize and communicate results clearly.
- Mathematically inclined – The ability to add, subtract and decimal calculations to meet measurement specifications.
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
- Safety conscious
