Administrative –Receptionist / Accounts Receivable Associate
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Associate is responsible for performing a variety of AR activities, general accounting functions and routine clerical work.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain customer accounts in both the Operating and Accounting systems.
- Compile and sort documents, calculate and verify amounts, post transactions to accounts and perform all other responsibilities as assigned in a timely manner.
- Organize customer payments, charge interest / late / no payment fees (as applicable), and apply payments to customer accounts.
- Generate monthly customer statements, review, validate and timely mail.
- Monitor, report and action past-due balances with the support of Senior Management.
- Maintain list of charge account authorized users; Report changes to Store Management.
- Manage charge account
- Handle customer inquiries; Research, analyze and solve discrepancies.
- Identify underperforming accounts; Report proposed updates / closures to Management.
- Review, adjust and validate daily store-level bookwork.
o Examples include: Cash deposits, charge account purchases, coupon receipts and lottery redemptions.
- Verify App / Online sales channel records.
- Collect, prepare and process credit card purchases; Validate balance(s) against the General Ledger Payables records.
- Post daily bookwork and assist with the close of business days.
- Maintains confidentiality with proprietary Company data and information.
- Answer and transfer telephone calls or take messages.
- Receive vendors, customers and visitors.
- Sort and deliver incoming mail / packages and send outgoing mail.
- Organize store paperwork and distribute to appropriate colleagues.
- Assist in other duties, as assigned.
Education and / or Experience needed:
- Retail operations experience required; convenience store retail operations preferred.
- Understanding of retail category structure, reporting needs, and accounting preferred.
- High attention to detail and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
