Duties
- Operate snowplow trucks and related groundskeeping equipment to clear snow from roads, driveways, parking lots, and walkways
- Use hand tools and power tools for snow removal in hard-to-reach or detailed areas
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality before each shift
- Follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries during snow removal activities
- Coordinate with project managers or site supervisors to prioritize routes and ensure timely completion of snow clearing tasks
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including minor repairs and cleaning after use
- Identify hazards such as ice patches or obstacles, applying appropriate de-icing materials or reporting issues promptly
Experience
- Previous outdoor work experience, particularly in snow removal roles
- Experience with grounds maintenance tools such as shovels, blowers, power brooms, and hand tools
- Knowledge of safety protocols specific to outdoor equipment operation and winter weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in varying weather conditions while adhering to safety standards
- Must have a 2019 or newer 3/4 ton pickup with plow (prefer a V plow)
