Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Salesperson to join our membership sales team here at Club Pilates Newark. In this role, you will be the frontline ambassador for our studio, responsible for engaging with prospects, understanding their needs, and providing expert guidance on Pilates in relationship to their personal fitness goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to further develop your sales skills within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while utilizing your passion and expertise. In addition to the hourly pay, generous bonuses and commissions are available depending on your qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Execute sales process of initial contact, follow up, and close
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and effective communication. Initially, this will be primarily over the phone.
- Provide detailed information on Pilates, Club Pilates, and our studio memberships to assist customers in making informed decisions
- Negotiate the sale with customers, ensuring a positive experience while meeting sales targets
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel for organizing and planning
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent service, follow-up communication, and personalized attention
Qualifications
- Proven sales management experience within a fitness or retail environment is preferred. Membership sales strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of fitness services and familiarity with Pilates
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with outstanding communication abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and inventory management software
- Customer service-oriented mindset with exceptional phone etiquette and client communication skills
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for pricing, discounts, and calculations
- Bilingual proficiency is highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
