POSITION PURPOSE:

The Program Manager serves as the operational leader responsible for driving execution, schedule performance, and delivery for key customer programs. This role bridges production control, scheduling, new product introduction, and program management — ensuring customer needs are met through effective coordination of planning, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.

The Production Program Manager owns program performance across quality, on-time delivery, cost, and responsiveness, while continuously improving production efficiency, launch readiness, and communication across the business.

Core Responsibilities

  • Program Planning & Execution: Develop and manage end-to-end manufacturing plans, including detailed schedules, on-time delivery, resource allocation, and budget management. Monitor and manage program performance against key metrics including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, WIP flow, and quality results.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing communications, expectations, satisfaction, contract performance reporting, and new business proposals throughout the lifecycle of the program. Drive proactive communication on delivery risk, recovery plans, and production status to both internal teams and customers. Monitor program progress through KPIs and proactively identify risks, constraints, and delays.
  • Production Oversight: Attend daily coordination meetings across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance and Production teams to resolve constraints and ensure on-time delivery. Work closely with planners and site leadership to balance capacity, prioritize builds, and resolve material or process constraints. Coordinate and lead program and production reviews to ensure alignment on schedule, quality, and improvement actions and support continuous improvement.
  • Change & Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and manage engineering or process changes through disciplined configuration control. Resolve projects’ higher scope issues and support escalation when necessary. Think quickly and adeptly about how to address problems as they arise. Ability to switch quickly between tasks and comprehend the project on many different levels at once

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field or relative years of experience in lieu of degree.
