Job Title: Chemical Line Racker
Employee Type: Full Time, Hourly
Reports to: Processing Manager
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday; 10:00pm - 6:30am
Rate: $16.00 - $19.00/hour; dependent upon experience
Shift Differential: $1.00/hr in addition to hourly rate
Job Location: Wichita, KS, USA
Experience: 1 years working in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Job Duties:
• Pull plugs thru close-tolerance features prior to chemical processing (Pre-Penetrant Etch and Anodize)
• Select holding racks and clips according to size and number of objects to be chemically processed
• Wire or clip parts to racks, remove parts from racks & transport parts to next staging area safely without damage
• Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized
• Read and understand work order requirements
• Perform other miscellaneous job duties and assist other departments as needed
• Promote and work safely at all times. Will use and comply with all safety regulations while working with Hazardous materials and chemicals & wear all required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Processing Supervisor
Requirements: - 1 year’s aircraft manufacturing experience preferred
- Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
- Must be able to maintain good attendance and attitude
- Must have reliable daily transportation
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be fluent in English; read, write and comprehension
- Must be a US citizen
Working Conditions:
- Some overtime may be required
- Ability to regularly and frequently lift 50 pounds
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must have the ability to be trained and certified as a Crane Operator.
