Experienced Line Cook

Figaro's Boston is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our longtime, family-owned restaurant team. We're not looking for someone who is brand new to the kitchen. We're looking for a seasoned restaurant professional who knows how to move, communicate, and execute when the kitchen gets busy.

We've been serving Boston since 2002, specializing in gourmet sandwiches, scratch-made food, catering, and creative daily offerings. We're a close-knit team with high standards, and we're looking for someone who takes the same pride in their work that we do.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of professional kitchen or line cook experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Able to stay organized, focused, and efficient during a busy lunch rush
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Takes pride in making every order correctly and to a high standard
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, organization, and maintaining a clean kitchen throughout the shift
• Team-first attitude and willingness to step up wherever needed
• Reliable, professional, and able to work independently when necessary
• Comfortable with the physical demands of kitchen work, including being on your feet, lifting, carrying supplies, and moving quickly throughout a shift
• Sandwich shop, deli, café, or high-volume lunch experience is a big plus
• Flexibility to work at both our Boston locations is also a plus

What the Job Looks Like

This is a hands-on back-of-house position. You'll help with food preparation, cooking, sandwich and order assembly, catering preparation, and keeping the kitchen moving efficiently.

Cleanliness is an important part of the job. We expect everyone on our team to keep the kitchen clean and organized throughout service and to thoroughly clean and reset the kitchen at the end of each shift. We take pride in our food, our kitchen, and our restaurant, and we're looking for someone who shares those standards.

At our Beach Street location, mornings include preparing catering orders and getting ready for service before an intense lunch rush. When the doors open, we need someone who enjoys that energy and knows how to perform when things get busy.

We're looking for someone experienced enough to step in, learn our operation, and become a dependable part of the team.
