Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper dishwashing techniques and sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Clear and buss tables promptly to maintain a clean dining area
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure sanitation standards are consistently met
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers and manual cleaning tools
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies, dishes, and equipment while maintaining proper manual handling techniques
- Support overall kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing workstations, floors, and surfaces regularly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitizing procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy loads
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation
- Excellent teamwork skills; ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or cleaning tools is a plus
- Previous banquet or catering experience can be advantageous but not mandatory
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
