Data Analytics Intern

FWF is a third-party logistics company headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI and founded in 2012. As a 3PL, we specialize in full truckload (TL), less-than-truckload (LTL), drayage, rail, and international ground and air freight.

Please note that this role is a 100% on-site role located in our corporate office in Kentwood, MI. Tentative start date is May 18, 2026, but can be adjusted as-needed.

This position will report directly to the Director of Analytics and will be responsible for completing all reporting as assigned, working with internal data, and updating and creating reports.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Complete reporting and tracking as assigned by the Director of Analytics
• Input data accurately and efficiently into company databases
• Update reports in Microsoft Excel and Tableau
• Update internal datasets used by the team
• Interoperate data to find potential trends or highlights in internal data
• Collaborate with assigned team to meet all department deadlines
• Communicate effectively all needs and concerns with the Director of Analytics
• Demonstrate key understanding of role and propose new ideas to create further efficiencies
  
  

Key Competencies

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, and BI applications like Tableau
• Experience with programing languages such as Python or R
• Proficient written and verbal communicator
• Organized with high attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proven experience as a collaborative team player
• Work or educational background in Data Analytics
• Reports to the Director of Analytics

Hours

• Seeking someone able to work 30-40 hours per week
• Schedule negotiable, but must be between 8-5 Mon-Fri
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
• Student of Sophomore - Senior undergraduate standing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills with a foundation in data analysis and statistics
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work 100% on-site in our office in Kentwood, MI
  
  

Preferred Skills/qualifications

• Experience with programming languages (i.e. Python) for data analysis
• Knowledge of pricing strategies and revenue management concepts
• Prior internship or project experience in a related field
