Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. The Mortgage Loan Officer will be responsible for providing financial solutions to customers by guiding them through the mortgage loan process, identifying their requirements, and recommending suitable lending solutions. Key responsibilities include managing client relationships, originating and processing mortgage applications, complying with regulatory and bank policies, and achieving sales goals through cross-selling and identifying business opportunities. The role also requires networking, building partnerships with real estate professionals and referral sources, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mortgage regulations, market trends, and industry guidelines.
Qualifications
- Experience in mortgage loan origination, loan processing, or a related field, with knowledge of mortgage products and lending guidelines.
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills to effectively assist clients and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in sales, networking, and business development to establish partnerships and drive referral opportunities.
- Analytical skills and close attention to detail for evaluating financial documents and ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve set sales goals within deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain applicable state licensing for mortgage lending.
