The Guest Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that assigned guest rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard. Must always provide superb customer service to our guests.

Position Responsibilities/Duties
- Cleans and vacuum assigned number of rooms a day
- Cleans room to exceed Downtown Grand Standards and expectations
- Clean 15 credits per day (occupied, and check outs)
- Make beds daily in assigned area
- Conducts a.m. and p.m. room checks to determine the status of the rooms
- Loads GRA cart with all cleaning supplies and linen
- Folds linen for the GRA cart
- Dusts and cleans all furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, inside and outside door panels, door ledges, and thresholds
- Cleans under bed, desk, chairs, and behind nightstands
- Checks and replaces all missing items in rooms such as hangers, clocks, ice buckets, hair dryers, brochures, and stationery
- Cleans and ensures bathtubs, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, and toilets are spot and dust free
- Sweeps, mops all bathroom floors
- Dusts all lights and lampshades
- Pushes a fully loaded Guest Room Attendant cart to transport supplies between guest rooms
- Report any lost and found items to Security
- Reports all room defects to Manager
- Be able to use mobile device to update rooms, and input order tickets for repair or item request.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned by Housekeeping Leadership
- Minimum six (6) months experience as a guest room attendant in a mid-to-upscale hotel
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management in English
- Ability to read and understand different chemical labels and their use
- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to clean 15 credits per day
- Able to work a varied schedule -- including nights, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of sanitation and health codes
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Must be able to bend, squat and kneel throughout assigned shift.
- Must be able to occasionally reach above head in performing job duties.
- Able to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
