Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with FIFTH SEASON’S cross-functional partners including Production, Production Services, Business Affairs, Postproduction, Creative, Treasury, IT and Accounting to perform necessary production finance functions
- Project setup including setup and configuration of accounting system, payroll, banking, PCard and AP payment systems, and configuration of approval workflows
- Support month-end accounting procedures for assigned shows, including preparing and reconciling bank statements
- Responsible for onboarding and offboarding all accounting crew, including system access and coordination with key departments
- Process A/P data entry and wires for assigned Post-production projects
- Process payroll for documentary projects in development, including reviewing timecards, coordinating with key stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate payment, and maintaining organized and accurate payroll records
- Upload receipts and submit expenses for assigned development PCard accounts in accordance with internal policies and deadlines
- Maintain and organize internal financial and set-up-related documentation
- Update show related information in relevant trackers (Excel and AirTable)
- Proactively drive ideas for improved operations, analysis, cost savings and other efficiencies by presenting analysis to management and actively collaborating with key stakeholders
- Initiate, lead, and manage automation of Production Finance processes
- Ad-Hoc projects to support growth of division
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or in a highly analytic role
- Must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity with a focus on generating results
- Must thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Must be self-motivated, disciplined, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Superior proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
- An assistant Production Accounting Background is ideal
