- Perform system troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC/R equipment using hand tools, electrical diagnostics, ohmmeters, and other specialized equipment
- Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, electrical wiring diagrams, and plumbing layouts to ensure precise installation
- Diagnose electrical system issues and perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults in HVAC controls or building automation systems
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards including EPA regulations for refrigerants and local building codes
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions and maintenance needs clearly to clientsExperience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC system installation and repair in commercial settings
- Service technician background with hands-on experience troubleshooting HVAC/R systems and mechanical components
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, electrical wiring diagrams, and building automation controls
- Knowledge of HVAC system maintenance routines including refrigerant handling, boiler operation, appliance repair, air conditioning servicing, and equipment troubleshooting
- Mechanical knowledge related to mechanical systems repair across various building environments
- Experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pipe cutters and other diagnostic tools
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
