We are retained on a confidential Director-level search for a well-established, high-performing Financial Services recruitment firm making a significant, long-term investment in its US platform.
This is the most senior role in the US for the business and represents a rare opportunity to build, shape, and lead a national Financial Services recruitment operation with full strategic ownership.
The Opportunity
This role is designed for an experienced, commercially proven recruitment leader who is ready to step into a broader mandate with genuine autonomy, influence, and legacy potential.
You will have end-to-end responsibility for the US Financial Services business, including strategy, culture, team build-out, and revenue growth, supported by a highly credible international platform with deep client relationships across buy-side and sell-side institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Full leadership of US Financial Services operations from New York
- Ownership of commercial strategy, operating model, and firm culture
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing US team
- Drive revenue growth across core Financial Services clients
- Act as a senior ambassador to clients and candidates
- Play a key role in future US office launches and national expansion
The Ideal Profile
- Senior recruiter or recruitment leader within Financial Services
- Strong, consistent personal billing and/or leadership track record
- Experience building teams, markets, or offices (preferred but not essential)
- Commercially sophisticated, entrepreneurial, and strategically minded
- Motivated by ownership, autonomy, and long-term value creation
Compensation & Incentives
- Base salary: $150k–$175k (flexible for the right profile)
- Guarantees: Available depending on background
- Commission: Meaningful upside
- Equity: Accrues every six months, aligned to individual and firm performance
