What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement, MRP & Logistics Manager position at Fiero Group?
About Us
Fiero Group is a growing manufacturer and distributor of commercial pizza ovens and pizza-making equipment, serving restaurants, pizzerias, and culinary operations across North America. From our Brewster, NY headquarters and our Santa Ana, CA facility, we design, build, import, and support wood-fired, gas, and electric ovens under the Fiero Forni and partner brands. We're a hands-on, family-run company where your decisions directly shape how the business runs.
The Role
We're hiring a Procurement, MRP & Logistics Manager to own purchasing, material planning, and inbound logistics across the company. You'll manage everything from raw materials and fabrication components to imported finished goods from our manufacturing partners in Europe and abroad. This is a hands-on role where you'll be doing the buying, planning, and expediting yourself, working directly with company leadership, production, and engineering.
What You'll Do
- Own day-to-day purchasing: create and manage purchase orders, confirm pricing and lead times, and expedite critical materials
- Run material requirements planning (MRP) in our ERP system: maintain accurate BOMs, reorder points, safety stock levels, and lead times
- Manage supplier relationships among domestic vendors and international manufacturing partners, including pricing negotiation, quality issue resolution, and performance tracking
- Communicate needs and scheduling on international freight with our freight forwarding team: ocean container bookings, customs brokerage, duty/tariff management, and inbound scheduling
- Manage outgoing product and orders to ensure proper inventory management is maintained
- Plan inventory across our warehouse and projects, including inter-facility transfers
- Coordinate receiving, inspection, and putaway with the warehouse and production teams
- Work with production leadership to align purchasing with the build schedule
- Track and report on inventory value, supplier performance, and spend
- Work with engineering and leadership to explore and onboard new suppliers, as well as communicate and cost part needs and requirements
What We're Looking For
- 4 years in purchasing, supply chain, or materials management in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Hands-on experience with an MRP/ERP system (experience with any modern ERP such as NetSuite, Fishbowl, Odoo, Katana, or SAP translates well)
- Some experience with international sourcing and import logistics (ocean freight, customs, Incoterms) strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation skills and comfort managing vendor relationships independently
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning a process end-to-end
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and data; comfortable learning new software quickly
- Bonus: experience in foodservice equipment, HVAC/appliance, metal fabrication, or a related industry
Schedule: Monday–Friday, on-site at our Brewster, NY facility
