Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Responsibilities

Shipping & Customer Follow-Up

• Pick, package, and prepare firearm components, accessories, and finished products for shipment
• Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and documentation
• Coordinate with UPS, FedEx, USPS, and freight carriers
• Verify order accuracy and meet shipping deadlines
• Follow required packaging and labeling procedures for serialized components
• Conduct proactive post-shipment follow-up calls to customers to confirm order delivery, ensure product satisfaction, and maintain excellent customer relationships

Inventory & Warehouse

• Maintain organized stock areas
• Assist with inventory counts and audits
• Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (preferred)
• Track and handle serialized parts according to compliance standards

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate shipping records
• Follow all company and industry regulations
• Communicate effectively with purchasing, production, and customer service teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous warehouse or shipping experience preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational habits
• Comfortable making outbound phone calls and delivering courteous, professional customer service
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Basic computer and data‑entry skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team

Preferred Skills

• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience with firearms or serialized inventory (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with common shipping carriers
• Proficient in ERP systems such as (Fishbowl, Netsuite, Epicor, etc)
