We are seeking a skilled Drop Bury Technician to join our team, responsible for installing and maintaining telecommunication and network infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Install, bury, and secure telecommunication cables and fiber optic lines according to schematics and technical specifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, power tools, and other construction machinery safely
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure including LAN, Ethernet, WAN, and telephony systems
- Use hand tools and power tools for cable routing, trenching, and equipment installation
- Climb poles or structures as needed for cable placement or repairs
- Follow safety protocols related to electrical work, low voltage systems, and construction site procedures
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation tasks
- Troubleshoot network issues related to cabling or hardware failures
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and update schematics as necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in field service operations within telecommunication or IT infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation including bucket trucks and construction machinery
- Experience with fiber splicing, cabling, electrical systems, and low voltage wiring is an added advantage
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN, WAN, Ethernet, network infrastructure, and telephony systems is a bonus
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and climbing structures safely
- Construction or electrical experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in technical tasks
- Valid license
