- Pay for Journeyman technicians:
- $45.65 per booked hour
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair complex engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
- Efficient Execution: Perform high-quality repair work efficiently and within dealership and manufacturer standards.
- System Testing: Test-drive vehicles and use advanced diagnostic tools to ensure fix-it-right-first-time quality.
- Clear Communication: Work directly with Service Advisors to provide accurate repair recommendations and time estimates.
- Warranty Repairs: Execute precise warranty work strictly to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of professional automotive technician experience (Journeyman level preferred).
- Skillset: Strong diagnostic capabilities, electrical troubleshooting, and heavy engine repair skills.
- Credentials: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certifications are a strong plus.
- Tech Savvy: Ability to operate electronic diagnostic tools; CDK dealership software experience is a plus.
