Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive landscape designs using SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, and Revit to create detailed visualizations and construction documents.
- Incorporate sustainable design principles and horticultural knowledge to craft environmentally responsible landscapes.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to refine project scope, timelines, and budgets through effective project management.
- Prepare accurate construction estimates and oversee landscape construction phases, including hardscape installation, irrigation systems, and land surveying.
- Utilize GIS tools such as ArcView and ArcGIS for site analysis, land use planning, and spatial data management.
- Draft detailed plans for landscaping, land surveying, civil engineering projects, and land maintenance activities using CAD and MicroStation software.
- Ensure all designs adhere to local regulations, zoning codes, and environmental standards while promoting innovative solutions like sustainable drainage systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape design or related fields with a portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), MicroStation, and GIS software such as ArcView or ArcGIS.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture practices, landscaping techniques, hardscape elements, irrigation systems, and sustainable design strategies.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes, land surveying methods, civil engineering principles, and landscape maintenance procedures.
- Excellent drafting skills with the ability to produce clear technical drawings and visual presentations.
- Effective project management abilities to coordinate multiple stakeholders from concept through construction completion.
