Job Summary:
We are hiring Data Center Technicians with early-stage experience in structured cabling and data center environments. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for individuals who have gained foundational field knowledge and are ready to take on more responsibility with continued mentorship. Technicians will support installation and maintenance of structured cabling systems, infrastructure hardware, and data center equipment across national projects in the telecom and low voltage industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform structured cabling installations, including fiber and copper cable rough-in, routing, and dressing
- Terminate and test fiber and copper cables with moderate supervision
- Rack and stack network equipment, including server builds and rack elevations
- Install infrastructure hardware such as ladder racks, fiber trays, and cabinets
- Read and follow basic blueprints, installation standards, and project documentation
- Assist with OSP (Outside Plant) fiber installation into data centers
- Receive materials and assemble hardware components
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure jobsite cleanliness
- Communicate professionally with team members, leads, and supervisors
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience in a data center or commercial structured cabling environment
- Familiarity with cable types, termination practices, and basic testing tools
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Must be comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving items up to 75 lbs.; able to stand/walk for the duration of the shift
- Must own and bring basic hand tools: screwdriver (multi-bit), snips, punch tool, pliers, tape measure, flashlight, tool pouch, and steel/composite toe work boot

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Application Question(s):
