Solids Control Operator
Shift: 28 days ON / 14 days OFF
Pay rate: $20-$22/hr. Make $2,000-$2,500 EVERY WEEK
- $25 Per Diem
- FREE housing FREE lunch
- $.70/mile up to 500 miles
- 6-month contract, with potential to extend
The Solids Control Technician is responsible for managing and operating equipment designed to remove solids from drilling fluids during oil and gas drilling operations. They play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of drilling operations while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities:
Operate Solids Control Equipment: Run and maintain various solids control equipment such as shale shakers, centrifuges, desanders, and desilters to separate solids from drilling mud.
Monitor Drilling Fluid Properties: Regularly test and monitor the properties of drilling fluids to ensure they meet required specifications for viscosity, density, and other parameters.
Troubleshoot Equipment Issues: Identify and troubleshoot problems with solids control equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Handle Drill Cuttings: Manage the collection, transportation, and disposal of drill cuttings and other solids in accordance with environmental regulations.
Maintain Safety Standards: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Document and Report: Maintain accurate records of solids control operations, including equipment maintenance, fluid properties, and waste disposal activities. Report any issues or deviations from standard procedures to supervisors.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Experience operating an excavator
SafeLand and Excavator certifications.
