Position Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, dependable Part-Time (evenings 4pm - 8pm) Activities Aide to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time with seniors and is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that promote engagement, socialization, and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Assist with and lead engaging evening activities for residents
Encourage resident participation and social interaction
Provide one-on-one support and companionship
Use positive redirection techniques when residents become confused
Maintain a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment
Qualifications:
Compassionate and caring personality
Have patience and understanding when working with individuals with dementia
Ability to redirect residents respectfully and effectively
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Previous experience in senior care, activities, or memory care is preferred but not required
