SUMMARY: The Investment Officer manages investment risks, and ensures that the investment portfolio aligns with the organization’s financial goals and objectives. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of various investment instruments and markets. Part of the advisory team responsible for developing new business, expanding existing relationships, and fostering organic growth to increase assets under management and fee revenue. Also plays a key role in our proprietary PROSPER financial planning process, adding significant depth and expertise to discussions around investment management. Continuously monitors client portfolios and market trends to provide timely and relevant advice. Assists the Advisors to insure our adhering to our established Minimum Servicing Standards. Provides exceptional service and support to clients, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to embrace and achieve the shared values and goals of the team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree or designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investment or banking industry. Investment management experience preferred.
- General understanding of financial markets, investment products, and tax strategies.
- Demonstrate ability to build relationships and manage customer portfolios.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused service.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with portfolio management software (e.g., Value Line, Morningstar).
- Professional certifications (e.g., AFIM, CFP, CFA) are advantageous. May be required to obtain certification once hired.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint or other industry standard software.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive investment strategy aligned with organizational policies.
- Review, analyze, and provide input on investment strategies for individual portfolios, considering clients' risk tolerance, time horizon, cash flow needs, and tax implications.
- Oversee the management of all investment portfolios, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and select investment opportunities, including stocks, bonds, real estate, and other assets.
- Monitor portfolio performance, conduct regular reviews and rebalancing as necessary.
- Identify, assess, and manage investment risks, ensuring adherence to the organization’s risk management framework.
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks while maximizing returns.
- Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations.
- Ensure all investment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging markets, and new investment opportunities.
- Continuously seek to improve investment processes and strategies through innovation and adoption of best practices.
- Willingness to contribute to team objectives, while building trust and promoting positive team and organizational culture.
- Obtain continuing education hours needed to maintain professional certification(s).
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices. Use CRM to monitor opportunities through the sales funnel and track customer interactions for greater service impact and superior customer engagement.
