The Canvasser has:

• Interest in progressive causes and campaigns.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Good judgment, with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

Position Duties:

• Under the direction of the City Manager, the Canvasser will be responsible for direct voter contact in their assigned turf.
• Hits daily and weekly goals as part of the field program as directed by the City Manager.
• Lifts trends or responses that are heard in the field that relate to the overall program goals.
• Ability to have effective conversations about issues with a variety of audiences.
• Is flexible and can adapt their communication strategy based on programmatic changes.
• Collects required data during voter registration and doors and reports data at assigned times or when requested by management.
• Reports throughout the day to the City Manager during site-based voter registration and daily during canvassing.
• Comfortable using the assigned technology and is timely on filling out daily reports.
• Completes assigned duties thoroughly and correctly.
• Participates in training as directed by City Managers.
• Participates in launch meetings.
