Double Up Food Bucks NY (DUFBNY) is one of Field & Fork Network’s signature programs. It matches SNAP benefits dollar for dollar on fruit and vegetable purchases, increasing family food dollars and supporting healthier nutrition. Local farmers benefit from new markets in which to sell their produce, building stronger local economies.
The DUFBNY Senior Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, growth, and strategic direction of DUFBNY across a diverse network of participating sites, including grocery stores, farmers markets, and mobile markets. This role ensures program effectiveness, compliance, accurate data and reporting, and strong site partnerships. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with internal teams and external partners to scale the impact of DUFBNY across New York State.
Program Oversight & Grant Management:
- Lead the daily operations of DUFBNY, ensuring consistent, high-quality implementation across all sites.
- Ensure alignment with grant requirements and program standards.
- Develop and maintain program budgets, projections, and performance tracking tools.
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager to manage financial tracking and performance metrics within Salesforce.
- Conduct site audits and implement performance evaluations to inform continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with external evaluators to collect and document program outcomes.
- Prepare required grant reporting documents.
Site Support & Technical Assistance:
- Coordinate site launches and ensures in-person or virtual visits within one month of onboarding new locations.
- Provide hands-on technical assistance and troubleshooting support for program sites.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of training materials, onboarding presentations, and point-of-sale (POS) system guidance for new sites.
- Manage partner contracts and MOUs, ensuring timely execution and renewal.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all site-related technology support.
- Facilitate webinars and virtual trainings, including the annual Seasonal Farmers Market Kick-Off.
Program Dissemination & Advocacy:
- Represent the DUFBNY program in statewide and national-level conversations, including with the NYS Department of Health and national nutrition incentive coalitions.
- Lead peer-to-peer learning activities.
- Develop and share case studies to highlight program successes.
- Develop tools and resources to enhance program dissemination.
- Provide programmatic support to advocacy initiatives that elevate the DUFBNY program and expand the reach of nutrition incentives across New York and beyond.
- B.S. or B.A. degree in public health, social work, nutrition, food systems, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-7years of progressively responsible experience in program or project management, preferably in a nonprofit or public health setting.
- Proven experience managing large, multi-year grants and program budgets. Familiar with federal grant compliance.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills; experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence and the ability to lead group trainings and build strong partnerships.
- Self-directed, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; occasional travel required (15-20% time).
