Environmental Health and Safety Technician
Field Environmental Consulting, Inc. is an environmental health and safety consulting firm that assists companies with compliance to federal and local regulations. We are seeking a full-time, experienced worker to assist with our Asbestos and Lead Division. The emphasis will be to perform Asbestos and Hazardous Materials surveys, & industrial hygiene activities during asbestos abatement projects under the direction of a Project Manager.
Applicants are required to have a 2 or 4 year college degree with 1-2 years of experience in the environmental health, safety, and/or construction field. Current MDH Certification for MN Asbestos Inspector and MN Certified Asbestos Site Supervisor preferred. NIOSH 582 Equivalency preferenced. Computer knowledge and report writing skills are required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record (within 5 years), and auto insurance.
Applicant must be willing to work a flexible schedule as occasional evenings, nights, or overnight travel may be required. Travel throughout the Twin Cities metro is required on a routine basis.

- 3 to 5 years experience in environmental or construction
- Bachelor in Environmental Science or Engineering,
- Individual must have superior communication skills, ranging from discussions and training with staff, to interactions with clients and regulators, and to report/proposal/document preparation.
- Must also be able to maintain a flexible schedule and meet deadlines for multiple projects.
- Must be proactive in meeting goals of projects.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license required
