The Role: What You’ll Command
As Financial Controller, you’ll report directly to the VP of Finance and lead a team of four. You’ll be responsible for the accounting backbone of Field Development, including:
- Managing all aspects of accounting (A/P, fixed assets, general ledger, balance sheet, compliance).
- Overseeing the monthly close process: reconciliations, allocations, accruals, and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Driving process improvements and implementing best practices in financial controls.
- Supporting property teams with tenant transactions and community-level accounting.
- Maximizing AppFolio to streamline operations.
- Overseeing payroll, benefits, banking, and cash flow management.
- Partnering with auditors and tax accountants.
- Delivering ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
- CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 4 years of solid, stable professional accounting experience.
- Background in business finance, accounting firms, or real estate preferred.
Software & Tools
- Skilled in AppFolio or equivalent PMS (preferred), QuickBooks, ERP systems, Excel, and finance tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Location
- Central Pennsylvania (York area).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 (based on experience).
