The Role: What You’ll Command

As Financial Controller, you’ll report directly to the VP of Finance and lead a team of four. You’ll be responsible for the accounting backbone of Field Development, including:

• Managing all aspects of accounting (A/P, fixed assets, general ledger, balance sheet, compliance).
• Overseeing the monthly close process: reconciliations, allocations, accruals, and reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Driving process improvements and implementing best practices in financial controls.
• Supporting property teams with tenant transactions and community-level accounting.
• Maximizing AppFolio to streamline operations.
• Overseeing payroll, benefits, banking, and cash flow management.
• Partnering with auditors and tax accountants.
• Delivering ad hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
• 4 years of solid, stable professional accounting experience.
• Background in business finance, accounting firms, or real estate preferred.

Software & Tools

• Skilled in AppFolio or equivalent PMS (preferred), QuickBooks, ERP systems, Excel, and finance tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Location

• Central Pennsylvania (York area).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $115,000 – $125,000 (based on experience).
