Fiduciary Trust International is a premier investment and wealth management firm with a commitment to growing and protecting wealth across generations. We are hiring a Wealth Director (Business Development Officer) to cover the Southern California region, including Los Angeles.
Wealth Directors are responsible for prospecting and securing new business from high-net-worth individuals, families, and related institutions. The role primarily focuses on investment management opportunities but also includes trust, estate, tax, family office, and related custody opportunities. A large degree of discretion is required to meet with prospective clients, their advisors, and COIs.
Candidates should be well versed in a range of investment disciplines and trust and estate topics (T&E). Candidates must convey a consultative approach to sales while displaying knowledge to referral sources and prospective clients to become worthy of their trust.
Key Responsibilities -
- Pursue prospective new business opportunities with HNW individuals and families;
- Lead segment new business strategies for the Los Angeles market;
- Maintain contact with known referral sources, COIs, and prospective clients;
- Coordinate presentations of the firm’s capabilities to prospective clients and their advisors (e.g. lawyers, accountants, consultants);
- Contribute to the development of prospect presentations and ongoing marketing material;
- Participate in the development of new ideas and execution of HNW business development issues with senior management;
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and other events attended by referral sources and prospective clients;
- Manage new clients from prospecting stage to onboarding
Ideal Candidates Will Have -
- 8 years of experience in financial services with experience servicing high net worth individuals, families, and their advisors
- Proven sales success servicing HNW individuals and institutions
- Experience selling directed trust, estate settlement, and custody a plus
- Experience in marketing traditional and sophisticated financial products
- Knowledge of various asset classes and investment management styles, asset allocation techniques, investment products, family office, OCIO and trust & estate management tools
- Highly motivated, capable of initiating and cultivating new client relationships
- CFP designation a plus
- Community engagement (boards/volunteerism) preferred

Compensation: Franklin Templeton offers employees a competitive and valuable range of total rewards—monetary and non-monetary — designed to support their well-being and recognize their time, talents, and results.
