What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Accountant position at Fiduciary Trust Company?
Primary Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely preparation of assigned Individual Income Tax Returns, Fiduciary Income Tax Returns, Income Tax Information Letters and Quarterly Estimated Tax Payments for assigned Individuals and Trusts.
- Develop and maintain strong familiarity with in-house and vendor systems (Onesource trust–tax, CCH Axcess, FIS Global Plus) for tax return production.
- Maintain efficient workflow and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changes in procedures.
- Follow established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Federal and State tax law.
- Furnish technical knowledge, advice, and consultation across the organization and to clients through effective verbal and written communication.
Required Skills and Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree required. CPA or EA designation preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of tax preparation experience in a high-net-worth client environment.
- Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance, and experience in tax preparation software.
- A commitment to organization and meeting immovable deadlines.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Highly motivated, results-orientedand able to work independently under minimal supervision with attention-to-detail and accuracy.
Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
