In this role, the Analyst is responsible for being the domain expert for Defined Benefit Plans, while also supporting from a customer and participant perspective. In addition, the Analyst may be required to support the strategic direction of the business, handle highly complex issues to resolution, and work with domain experts to solution client improvements and enhancements through corporate actions & change orders. You will also engage with other lines of business on projects that impact other Defined Benefit products and services. The Workplace Investing Business Analyst, Defined Benefit will work in a team environment by providing leadership, technical support, and workflow management to associates assigned to their defined benefit clients, serviced from a consultative perspective. Participate in planning activities and other relevant meetings to represent the Defined Benefit product and ensure client satisfaction. Evaluate requests from other areas of the firm to determine impact to the processes you serve and represent DB’s operational interests to senior leadership. Provide information and advice on plan documentation discrepancies and/or guidelines, e.g. data, provisional, or other plan/client issues. Manage multiple projects of medium to high complexity and execute projects on time and on budget to support high quality, profitable service delivery. Own and analyze operational issues and recommend business solutions, based on knowledge of client’s plan design and system functionality. Working with internal teams to identify, analyze, and implement process and procedural changes based on new regulatory amendments and/or administrative improvements. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in Project Management and/or Analytics preferred. Ability to balance day to day management of several project-related responsibilities, tasks and deliverables including highly escalated, prioritized requests. Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and analytical skills Advanced skillset with Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL. Visual Basic, Tableau and working experience with data analytics is a plus. Expertise in performing and reviewing complex Defined Benefit calculations and/or proficiency and familiarity in working with different Defined Benefit Plan Structures. Leadership and problem-solving talents including mentoring and coaching abilities. Good communication, both verbal and written; ability to implement/facilitate change. Forward looking, analytic, continuous improvement mentality. Demonstrated mix of analytics and technical skills. Ability to analyze/organize large amounts of data Client facing project consulting experience including requirement discovery and solution design The Team This role will reside within Workplace Investing Defined Benefit Operations organization. You will be responsible for handling and overseeing the day to day delivery of Defined Benefit client servicing, business reporting, contractual obligations, and internal scale & efficiency initiatives. You will support DB’s interests in collaborating with the cross product/functional SME’s, Center of Excellence and other lines of business. You will work to solve problems and be empowered to make decisions based on trends, issues, and business drivers.
