Behavioral Health RN
- Shifts: 12hr
Job Summary:
Provides mental health assessments, medication management, and therapeutic support in inpatient or outpatient behavioral health settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluate risk factors.
- Administer and monitor psychiatric medications.
- Provide individual therapy and crisis intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements:
- RN license in state of assignment. Compact License AllowedMust have taxable address outside of 90 miles from facility
- BLS, ACLS and MOAB required.
- Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health; Experience with mental health patients preferred.
- Psychiatric nursing certification may be required.
- Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.
Work Environment & Demands:
- Will work every 3rd weekend
- Hospital settings (Med-Surg units, post-op recovery, step-down).
- Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
