The Expertise and Skills You Bring (The order of these bullets does not matter) Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) 5+ years of software engineering experience Certifications preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, or Kubernetes Application Developer. Solid understanding/experience in storage, containers, serverless architecture/framework, cloud IAM controls and policies. Hands-on experience building and deploying applications using a variety of Amazon Web Services (primarily Cloud Formation). Proficient in object-oriented programming with REST API development and AWS resource provisioning with Python. Ability to apply design patterns and object-orientation to solutions. Hands-on experience with containers and container orchestration. Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts/ecosystem and deploying applications into EKS. Understanding of versioning and release practices (SCM), code collaboration practices (Git) Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins. Experience in defining and implementing a comprehensive cloud reliability and observability strategy, ensuring that Fidelity’s cloud systems are always available when our customers need them. Strong understanding of engineering excellence principles, defining engineering standards and proven experience of increasing engineering maturity. Experience leveraging DevAssist tools to improve development velocity and team productivity The Team Our Cloud Engineering team collaborates with our architects to design and build our foundational cloud components and frameworks.
