The Workplace Investing (WI) Platform technology group within Fidelity Investments is responsible for the development and maintenance of technology solutions supporting Fidelity's Defined Contribution (DC) business. The DC plan administration record keeping services platform serves plan sponsors in the configuration of their DC plans and operates in a mixed-technology environment (Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle) across multiple tiers (web server, app server, DB).

This group is looking for a Full Stack Java Developer at its Smithfield, Rhode Island site to be part of its dynamic, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of Fidelity's DC plan administration record keeping services platform.

The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred
- Proven development experience
- Hands on 10 years of Programming experience in Java
- Experience in JavaScript based frameworks and client side technologies
- Background in Understanding Web and Mid-tier technologies
- An understanding of the principles of SOA and how to implement such an architecture using Spring WS, Rest patterns, OAuth, Swagger, Apache Camel
- An understanding of DevOps, what it means and how to implement it.
- Demonstrable experience working in a fast paced agile environment
- Demonstrable experience working on the full development lifecycle of a project.
- Your knowledge in designing and developing Java/Spring RESTful APIs
- Your coding experience with Java 1.8 and Spring / Spring Boot framework
- Your experience in service transformation, routing, enrichment orchestration
- Your experience in Server Side Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat.
- Your experience with Open Source Frameworks - Spring MVC, Spring Core. XML, Integration with RESTful Web Services
- Your experience in Client Side technologies such as HTML5, Angular Framework, Javascript, CSS and JSON including Responsive WEB Design.
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Your experience in Agile methodology and tool set such as CI/CD, GIT, Maven and JIRA
- Your knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment
- Your knowledge of SOA, API design and cloud technologies
- Your experience on API Modelling languages and annotations (e.g. Swagger)
- Your experience on Azure Cloud technology
- Understanding of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
- Working with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Analyzing and solving issues by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience and discernment
- Learning, adapting and striving to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environment
- Communicating with others in a detail-oriented and timely manner
