Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patient.
- Help with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to patient's dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
- Support clients with memory care strategies for those experiencing cognitive decline.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors or family members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is essential; certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by patients' needs.
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes effectively.
- Experience in creating or following care plans tailored to individual patients' needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
