As we expand our presence in Bucks County, we are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Business Development & Marketing Specialist to grow our referral network and increase our client census.
Position Summary
The Business Development & Marketing Specialist is responsible for generating new client referrals by building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and referral sources throughout Bucks County. This is a field-based role ideal for a self-starter who is passionate about senior care and thrives on connecting with people.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory growth plan for Bucks County to meet or exceed monthly referral and admission goals
- Build and nurture relationships with key referral sources, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, physician offices, elder law attorneys, geriatric care managers, and social workers
- Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, and in-services to educate referral partners on Alpha Sante's services and care capabilities
- Represent Alpha Sante at community events, senior expos, health fairs, and networking functions
- Follow up promptly on all referrals and coordinate with the intake/scheduling team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients and families
- Track all sales activity, referral sources, and pipeline status in CRM or activity logs; provide weekly reports to leadership
- Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and payer landscape (private pay, long-term care insurance, Medicaid waiver programs, VA benefits) to identify growth opportunities
- Support digital and print marketing efforts, including social media content, brochures, and community outreach materials
- Maintain compliance with all state regulations, HIPAA requirements, and company policies in all marketing activities
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of sales, marketing, or business development experience, preferably in home care, home health, hospice, senior living, or another healthcare setting
- Established knowledge of (or ability to quickly build) a referral network in Bucks County and surrounding areas
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel daily within the territory
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Existing relationships with discharge planners, case managers, and senior care professionals in Bucks County
- Familiarity with home care payer sources, including long-term care insurance and PA Medicaid waiver programs (e.g., Community HealthChoices)
- Bilingual abilities a plus
