Role Overview
As a Physical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for executing the full physical design cycle from RTL to tape-out. You’ll work with the latest EDA tools and collaborate closely with RTL engineers to ensure optimal performance, timing closure, and silicon success.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform synthesis, physical verification, and timing closure
- Set up and synthesize RTL for physical implementation
- Drive timing closure using advanced strategies and methodologies
- Conduct EM/IR analysis, place-and-route, CTS, floor planning, and layout
- Develop and refine physical design flows and methodologies
- Collaborate with RTL design teams to ensure seamless integration
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- 8 years of hands-on experience in physical design
- Deep expertise in RTL-to-GDSII flow and silicon tape-out
- Proficiency in TCL/PERL scripting
- Strong command of EDA tools used in physical design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
