As an Engineering Recruiter at Fidelis, you’ll work in a true niche: semiconductor and advanced hardware design, with a specific focus on RF, electrical, and optical component companies. Our clients design and build the technology that powers high-speed data communications, wireless systems, power management, and optical networking.
You’ll recruit engineers supporting ASIC and SoC development, RF and mixed-signal design, high-speed electrical systems, and optical hardware, partnering with clients ranging from high-growth startups to established technology leaders.
This role primarily supports direct hiring with a focus on building contract staffing, giving you exposure to long-term team initiatives and fast-moving, project-based engagements. You have the opportunity to jump in with a team that is maintaining over 25 years of strong relationships developed through integrity-based business practices. They have an established and overloaded pipeline of business!
What you’ll do
- Dial the phone! (This is a phone sales job)
- Build deep engineering talent networks. Source and maintain relationships with engineers across:
- ASIC / SoC design
- Physical Design & STA
- RF & mixed-signal engineering
- Electrical hardware design (high-speed, power, signal integrity)
- Optical components and photonics-adjacent hardware
- Run targeted outreach. Engage passive, highly specialized candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, email, and phone outreach.
- Qualify beyond the resume. Understand candidates’ technical depth, tools, and experience—whether they’re supporting silicon tape-outs, RF front-end design, electrical board-level systems, or optical hardware development. More importantly, who they are outside of their resume.
- Own the full candidate lifecycle. From first conversation through interviews, offer negotiation, and start—across both contract and full-time roles.
- Partner internally and externally. Collaborate with sales and delivery teams to align candidate profiles with real client needs, timelines, and project phases.
- Operate with discipline. Track activity, interviews, submissions, and placements in your ATS/CRM to maintain a clean, predictable pipeline.
What success looks like in 90 days
- Consistent daily outreach with weekly technical screens completed
- A bench of pre-qualified semiconductor, RF, electrical, or optical engineers you can engage quickly
- Initial placements closed (contract and/or permanent)
- Candidates viewing you as a trusted resource—not just another recruiter
Tools you’ll use
Bullhorn, LinkedIn Recruiter, Ringover, and internal market intelligence. Prior experience with technical recruiting tools accelerates ramp time, but we’ll train the right person.
