This position is an essential operational role within the Fide Freight team. The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the company by managing freight claims, maintaining operational quality standards, and assisting with carrier strategy and internal coordination.
This role helps ensure our shipments, carrier relationships, and internal processes run smoothly and accurately. The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with leadership, operations, and sales teams to resolve issues, maintain operational discipline, and strengthen service delivery across the organization.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized logistics professional with strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of freight operations, and the ability to follow through on complex operational issues from start to finish.

Minimum Requirements
2 years of professional experience in freight brokerage, logistics operations, or transportation management
OR
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
Key Responsibilities
Claims & Quality Assurance
- Manage and follow up on freight claims, ensuring documentation, communication, and resolution timelines are maintained
- Coordinate with carriers, insurance providers, and customers to investigate and resolve claims efficiently
- Verify VIN numbers, equipment information, and insurance coverage related to claims to ensure accurate documentation and liability validation
- Review and confirm carrier insurance policies and coverage details when claims arise
- Maintain organized claim records and provide updates on claim status to leadership and stakeholders
- Conduct operational quality audits to ensure internal processes are being followed including tracking updates, documentation standards, and quote capture procedures
- Identify recurring operational issues and recommend improvements that reduce risk and strengthen service quality
Carrier Strategy & Execution
- Evaluate carrier performance and assist with carrier sourcing strategies
- Build and maintain carrier scorecards to monitor reliability and service performance
- Support fallback routing strategies and identify backup carrier options for key lanes
- Assist with vetting carriers for new lanes or customer opportunities
Operational Support & Process Coordination
- Provide operational support across internal teams by helping coordinate shipment execution, resolving operational gaps, and ensuring information flows clearly between departments
- Review and maintain critical operational data within internal systems to ensure shipment details, pricing information, and execution records remain accurate and reliable
Key Competencies
- Logistics Operations Knowledge: Understanding of freight brokerage operations and shipment lifecycle management
- Claims Management: Ability to manage freight claims processes including documentation and follow-up
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when reviewing operational data and documentation
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication when working with carriers, customers, and internal teams
- Problem Solving: Ability to investigate issues and help implement solutions that improve operational performance
- Organization & Follow-Through: Strong ability to track tasks and ensure responsibilities are completed
Pay: $50,000-$60,000
