Food and Beverage Server (FT, PT, Seasonal)

Fiddler's Elbow is looking for full-time, part-time and seasonal Servers to join our Food and Beverage team!

1. The Elbow Room is our fine dining, a la carte restaurant. Serving dinner by reservation only Tuesday through Saturday.

2. The 55th Hole - Grill Room is our casual, faster paced a la carte dining room. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

3. Our Aquatics Center provides poolside and cabana food and beverage service 7 days a week from Mid-May through Labor Day.

4. Our Banquets team is responsible for putting on the best events for our members and guests. From weddings, showers, birthday parties to wine dinners, holiday extravaganzas and golf outings, our banquet servers' schedule varies based on the scheduled events.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Food and Beverage Servers are responsible for exceeding the needs and expectations of Members and Guests during their dining experience in any of our food and beverage outlets. They will assist in serving, set-up, and clean-up of the dining areas. A fast-paced position that involves constant customer interaction and engagement.

Essential Functions:

• Promote a positive work environment through effective communication and creating a warm and engaging atmosphere.
• Attend pre-function and pre-shift meetings.
• Provide immediate attention to all Members & Guests.
• Engage with Members and Guests, providing WOW moments and amazing experiences.
• Demonstrate ability to accurately describe menu items, specials, drinks etc.
• Ensure Members and Guests are enjoying their experience and take necessary actions to correct if needed.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally to Members and fellow staff members.
• Clean all assigned work areas.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, counters, etc.
  • Assist with any closing functions such as folding napkins, putting away/polishing glassware, utensils, etc.
• Pour/refill beverages for Guests.
• Write Guest's food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
  • Accurately place orders in POS system
• Run food or drinks if necessary.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow employees as situations arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Previous serving experience is preferred but not a must

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of our members and guests.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry trays/objects weighing up 30 pounds through a crowded room
• Ability to handle many tasks at once
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe and lift to perform job functions
• Must be a team player; possess the ability to collaborate and work well with others

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work indoor and outdoor environments
• Must be able to work day and/or night hours, occasional long hours, weekends and holidays

Safety Hazards:

• General food and beverage environment with some exposure to heat from cooking areas
• Lifting of heavy objects such as kegs, cases of beer, bottled water, Gatorades etc.,
• Handling of sharp objects such as flatware
