Summary
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic team at Fidé. In this role, you will play a critical part in surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and that patient safety is prioritized. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare staffing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during operations.
- Monitor vital signs and maintain infection control protocols.
- Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly before procedures.
- Document medical records accurately and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide basic life support as needed during emergencies in the OR.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technician or equivalent experience required.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and OR protocols.
- Ability to monitor vital signs and respond to changes effectively.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Experience in critical care or trauma settings preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
