Position Overview:
The Tool Prep and Reconditioning Department Lead (TP&R) will add structure and develop a strong team that can produce high quality tools. This position will report to the Production Supervisor and together you will make improvements to how tools are managed and processed at our organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of people to certify that all tools are prepped and reconditioned to the highest quality standards
- Supervise the department schedule to ensure all daily requirements are met
- Communicates with Planning and Production team to verify that priorities are clear
- Manage the training and development of all new TP&R employees
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Have the ability to adjust to schedule and priority changes
- Cooperate with the maintenance and management of the Mold Tracker report
- Address personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources
- Generate and issue Performance Reviews on time to promote a positive work environment
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
- Must adhere to health and safety procedures, and all workplace policies

Hours of Operation:
Normal business hours: 7:00AM - 4:00PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership. This position is required to work on-site during scheduled business hours. Any exceptions for remote or work-from-home arrangements must be reviewed and approved in advance by the employee’s manager.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Combination of indoor and outdoor activities with varying conditions
- Requires walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, bending, reaching, handling, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- May involve operating material handling equipment in a safe manner
- Work may include exposure to variable noise levels, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, etc., requiring personal protective equipment
- Some positions may require working with small parts/components, necessitating excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
