Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic team as a 1st shift Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing overall maintenance support to the facilities.
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Ensures various systems are operating properly. This includes compressors, hazardous waste tanks, water tanks, and air dryers.
- Conducts preventative maintenance on machines including checking oil levels and greasing machines as needed.
- Maintains logbook of all routine and preventative maintenance information.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and care of various pieces of equipment – including, but not limited to cleaning holding / evaporator tanks, checking oil level in air compressors, and testing fire pumps.
- Maintains furnace filters, stripping towers, wells and systems on a continual basis.
- Performs repairs to machines and equipment as needed utilizing outside vendors when necessary.
- Ensures the building and surrounding areas are maintained in a manner that insures employee, guest, and visitor safety and evidence cleanliness – including, but not limited to, changing light bulbs, shoveling sidewalks, painting, and repairing chairs.
- May be required to conduct basic electrical work.
- Delivers and/or picks up supplies and/or parts.
- Responsible for the transportation of supplies and materials from one location to another.
- Able to use and operate a forklift or company vehicle.
- Installs machines/ventilation special projects as needed.
- Perform custodial tasks as required
- Provide support whenever needed.
Competencies, Skills:
- Technical: Proficiency in working with electrical circuits, wiring, and controls.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, along with the ability to perform repairs.
- Plumbing: Understanding of plumbing systems, fixtures, and the ability to repair leaks and perform installations.
- Tools & Equipment: Proficiency in using both hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers) and specialized diagnostic tools like multimeters.
- Preventive Maintenance: Skills to perform routine tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to prevent breakdowns.
