Position: FRP Repair Technician – Full Time
Location: Gary, IN – On-site

About the Role

Continental Tanker Tech, Inc. is seeking skilled Fiberglass Repair Technicians (FRP) to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform structural repairs, inspections, and maintenance on fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) tanker trailers. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals with experience in fiberglass, composites, or auto body repair who wants to work in a safety-driven and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform FRP repairs including patching, grinding, prepping, and layup
• Inspect and assess FRP damage, documenting repair needs and completed work
• Work with resins, fiberglass cloth, and mat to perform structural repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, shop standards, and quality control
• Operate hand tools, grinders, sanders, and other shop equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in FRP or fiberglass repair (industrial, marine, auto body, tanks, piping, etc.)
• Knowledge of vinyl ester, polyester, and epoxy resins
• Ability to read and follow repair instructions and safety procedures
• Physically capable of handling manual labor, lifting to 50 lbs., and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and reliability
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Hourly pay starts at $17.00 - $27.00, based on experience

Schedule

• Full-Time, Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday work available (optional, based on workload)
