What are the responsibilities and job description for the Underground Fiber Optic Construction Crew Labor position at Fiber Tech Industries LLC?
Job Description: Crew Laborer will work directly with the Crew Foreman daily onsite at job sites and will assist in: spotting utilities during excavation with excavator, coupling underground ducts together, pulling trailers/backing trailers with equipment on them, setting hand holes, stringing pipes for fiber optic cable installation, pulling fiber optic cable, pulling tracer wire, installing marker poles, building paths into buildings, penetrating buildings by using hammer drills, building conduit paths, and property restoration consisting of seeding and haying, sodding, mulching, and pine straw.
Requirements: Must be able to communicate with others on the team and with the customer. Must be a customer-presentable person, have a minimum of 1-2 years of construction background (home building, commercial building, electrical, or landscaping), be willing to work in extreme heat and cold (75% of work will be performed outside), have a reliable means of transportation, a willing attitude to listen, learn, grow, and teach others in order to grow and benefit the team. Must be willing to travel occasionally within the southeast. Must have high school diploma or equivalent GED. Basic computer/cell phone skills (Google Drive, etc)
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of construction background, mini excavator experience, construction clean-up experience, conduit/duct pulling experience, customer service experience, ability to pass a driver's license background check
