Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented seamstress to join Fiarawear. This job can be remote or you can come to our home office a few days a week to complete sewing work. We are a small dancewear brand and are looking to grow! The ideal candidate will have a passion for garment construction and a strong understanding of sewing techniques. This role involves working mostly spandex and chiffon fabrics.
Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machines and other equipment to fabricate garments according to specifications.
- Perform garment construction tasks, including cutting, stitching, and finishing.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring all items meet design specifications and standards.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the sewing process and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain sewing equipment and tools in good working condition.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sewing is required
- Proficiency in operating various types of sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with different types of fabrics and their properties is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs.
- A plus would be to have your own sewing machine/cover-stitch machine as well as a serger
