Internship Program Duration: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026 (11 weeks)
Overview: This program offers exposure to functional areas within FHN Financial, gaining a holistic understanding of our fixed income business and strategies. Participants will be assessed consistently to ensure proficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exposure to numerous functional areas within FHN Financial, including:
- Sales & Trading
- Investment Banking
- Investment Advisory
- Strategies, Analytics, and Accounting
- Whole Loan Trading
- Maintain databases, perform analysis, and produce customer presentations
- Collaborate with team members to reach departmental goals and initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities, including working closely with mentors and senior management for career development in fixed income
Qualifications:
- Finance, Business, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and succeed in the financial services industry
- High attention to detail for written analysis and client presentations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and not afraid to ask questions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Previous internship or work experience in financial services or related fields
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Coding skills in Python or similar programming language
