About the opportunity
FHEM Global Solutions is partnering with a leading enterprise client to staff a Warehouse Associate for their Integrated Supply storeroom operation in Smyrna, TN. This is a high-visibility, temp-to-hire opportunity ideal for a motivated warehouse professional ready to grow into a permanent role with a world-class supply chain organization. All day-to-day operations are conducted at the client's facility, with full on-site support from the start.
What you'll do
- Receive, unpack, inspect, and put away incoming goods; verify against invoices and flag discrepancies promptly.
- Sort, label, and store materials on racks, shelves, and bins according to product codes and space optimization principles.
- Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing orders using paper and electronic pick sheets; verify product and quantity accuracy at every step.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (experience a plus; training available) while following stacking and safety policies.
- Maintain accurate stock records in the warehouse management system; document and escalate inventory discrepancies.
- Support physical inventory counts and daily cycle-count tasks alongside the inventory team.
- Perform 5S activities - cleaning, sorting, organizing, and sustaining a safe and efficient workspace.
- Load and secure outbound freight; verify shipping method and communicate oversize loads to freight carriers.
What you bring
- Prior warehouse, storeroom, or distribution center experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted consistently throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills; experience with warehouse management software is a plus, training provided.
- Forklift experience a plus; not required, certification training available on-site.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently on a compressed weekend schedule.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
